[Reading] April + May 2019 Wrap-Up

Another month of this year has passed and I finally got back into the reading spirit. I was in a slump in April so I didn't do a wrap-up then. Here now I will talk about everything I read in April and May because of that.

Including the comics (as eBooks), I read 17 books over the last two month. At 3,628 pages read, this averages to about 59.48 pages a day. If I were to adjust this for the books I read in each month things would look differently. In May I mostly read about a 100 pages each day on my way from and to work, 50 pages for each direction. As I also listened to an audiobook I've got the number for that as well. The time I spent listening to it averages to 2.75 hours a day which is quite accurate I'd say.

Books read:

- "Aftermath" by Chuck Wendig - 3.5/5★
- "Aftermath: Life Debt" by Chuck Wendig - 4/5★
- "Aftermath: Empire's End" by Chuck Wendig - 4/5★
- "Eine unbeliebte Frau" by Nele Neuhaus - 2.75/5★ (short review in German!)
- "We Hunt the Flame" by Hafsah Faizal - 3/5★
- "The Lies of Locke Lamora" by Scott Lynch - 4.5/5★
- "Forever, Interrupted" by Taylor Jenkins Reid - 3/5★
- "Thrawn" by Timothy Zahn - 3/5★ (review hasn't been written so far)

Comics read:

- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Count Dooku" by Jody Houser - 3/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Padmé Amidala" by Jody Houser - 3/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: General Grievous" by Jody Houser - 2/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Anakin Skywalker" by Jody Houser - 3/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Jango Fett" by Jody Houser - 3/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Obi-Wan Kenobi" by Jody Houser - 3/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Darth Maul" by Jody Houser - 3/5★
- "Star Wars: Age of Republic: Qui-Gon Jin" by Jody Houser - 3/5★

Audiobooks:

- "Blood of Elves" (The Witcher #1)" by Andrzej Sapkowski (review hasn't been written so far)

As I was in a slump, my statistics don't look as good as I would have liked. I read about 47.06% adult novels, 5.88% YA, and 47.06% middle-grade (though that were only the comics).

My genres read are - as usual - very typical me.

If I had counted the comics the way I counted everything else from the Star Wars canon universe, Science-Fantasy would have ended up as the biggest chart. I count comics usually as their own genre as I find it easier to do these comparisons with them being their own genre, as well as most comics being very much mixed in their genres so this makes it easier.

My ratings were kind of average this time but that was to be expected at some point. I counted everything as full points like Goodreads does.

I won't add more statistics this time as I'm too tired for it but I have written some stuff down that I probably will use at the end of the year. For my reviews check the links on the book titles. Two I haven't written yet.
